South America Travel Route

Bogata ->Quito ->Lima ->Macchu Pichu ->Lake Titicaca -> La Paz ->Santiago ->Patagonia ->Buenos Aires ->Iquazo Falls ->San Paolo ->Rio De Janiero ->Belem ->Amazon River ->Angel Falls ->Caracas

South America can be done in one giant loop or broken up into various segments. Start in Columbia and end in Venezuela (or vice versa). After spending time in Bogota and soaking up the sun Colombian coast, head to Ecuador relax in Quito and the maybe even chase Darwin in the Galapagos Islands. In Peru, relax around great architecture in Lima and then follow the Inca trail to see amazing Machu Picchu, one of the greatest wonders in the world.  Check out Lake Titicaca before you head off to Bolivia to see the world renown salt flats and take part in the local Indian culture (watch out for that coca tea!). Move into Chile and over down to Patagonia to see some of the most stunning natural beauty in the world. After you are shocked and awed, head up into Buenos Aries for some Argentinian salsa dancing. Here you will find a passionate city filled with great food, amazing wine, and beautiful people. It is one of the best cities in the region.  Head up to see Iguazo Falls, one of the world’s best waterfalls and a highlight of any trip to Argentina. From here, head up into Brazil to party in Rio and lounge on the beaches of the coast. Make you way to Belem and head down to the Amazon River before moving onto Venezuela and seeing Angel Falls, the largest waterfall in the world. Spend your final days in Caracas.
