Bangkok ->Sukkothai ->Chiang Mai ->Chiang Rai ->Vien Vieng ->Vientiane ->Hanoi-Hue ->Hoi An ->Nha Trang ->Ho Chi Minh City ->Phenom Phen ->Siem Reap ->Bangkok ->Ko Pha Ngan ->Phuket ->Ko Phi Phi ->Krabi ->Hat Yai ->Cameron Highlands ->Kuala Lumpur ->Singapore ->Jakarta ->Yogyakarta ->Bali

This is the classic loop plus more. Start in Bangkok and head north to Chiang Mai while stopping on the way to visit Thailand’s historic ancient cities. Head into Laos for some river tubing in Vien Vieng and slowly head to the capital, Vientiane. Move into Sapa, Vietnam and Hanoi. Take a trip to see Ho Chi Minh’s body and spend a few days in Halong Bay before heading south to the ancient fortress of Hue. Buy some clothes in Hoi An, relax on the beaches of Nha Trang, and get lost in the crowd at Ho Chi Minh City. Move into Cambodia and learn about the Khmer Rouge in the capital and see one of the wonder’s of mankind in Siem Reap. Return to Bangkok then head south to the islands. Party in during the full moon on Ko Pha Ngan, find your beach on Ko Phi Phi, and climb rock on Krabi. Catch the connecting train to Malaysia in Hat Yai so you can drink tea in the Cameron Highlands and see the Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur. Eat great Indian food in Singapore before heading to Jakarta and overland to Bali, where sun and surf awaits you.
